Trigger finger surgery

Trigger finger surgery

Trigger finger is a condition where the finger tends to get stuck in a flexed or bent position and does not easily straighten back out again. Sometimes a "click" is felt as the finger then goes back into a straight position. A simple operation can usually resolve this problem where the tight pulley that is restricting the finger is released.

Time Scale

This procedure is done under local anaesthetic and you can go home on the same day as the operation. Recovery takes 2 weeks and return to work will vary depending on your job.
